This 5qt colander is made from polypropylene (plastic not metal.It is lightweight and has a nice deep bowl, which is about 5" deep so that pasta won't slip out into the sink or onto your counter. The measurements are 13.5"L handle to handle, 10.5" across and 6" high. An added feature is the rubber ring on the bottom, which adds nice stability to the colander, and the rubber handles which are comfortable to hold. Use it for all your veggies and fruits too.
